The Yiddish Playhouse, 2814 Host-

benefit performance on Monday eve-
, ning, Oct. 5, to aid the Ilebrew Baby
Day Nursery. An excellent program
is promised all who attend. The nur-
sery association is aiming to interest
the women in the community in its
work and is raising funds to carry on
its activities. Mrs. Pearl Rottenberg
is president of the association and
chairman of the benefit.

The first event of the autumn sea-
son to be arranged by the Ladies
Auxiliary of Congregation Shaarey
Zedek will be in the form of a Suc-
coth luncheon and will take place
Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 1 o'clock, in
the dining room of the synagogue.
The luncheon, which will be followed
by a program, will be prepared and
served by members of the auxiliary.
It will be given in a setting sugges-
tive of the Festival of Ingathering.
The occasion is being planned by the
social and hospitality committees.
The social committee consists of Mrs.
Harry Wetsman, chairman; Mrs. Saul
Saulson, Mrs. Louis Stoll, Mrs. Abra-
ham Srere, Mrs. Henry N. Weinstein,
Mrs. Harry Selker, Mrs. Samuel
Frank, Mrs. Ilitnon Kaplan, Sirs. Rob-
ert Marwil and Mrs. Charles Smith.
The members of the hospitality com-
mittee are Mrs. B. Blumrosen, chair-

Hall on Thursday evening, Oct.
Harry Jacobson, chairman of the

As a novel feature, the attire to be

Oscar Gantz, 9 years of age, son

ship. The following are the classes
to be held: Hebrew, Zionism and
book reviews.
The next Junior Hadassah meeting
' will take place on Monday evening,
Oct. 6, at 8 o'clock, at the Little The-
ater, 89 Rowena street. All those
interested are invited to attend.
