The executive of the Austrian Zionist Organization has tendered its
resignation. This step was taken as the result of the conflict between the
opposition to Welzmann's administration and his supporters, who constitute
a majority of the Austrian Zionists. The executive, led by Robert Stricker,
was opposed to the Weizmann policy and therefore found itself obliged to
resign. An extraordinary conference of the Zionist Organization of Austria
has been called for the middle of October in order to elect a new executive
and to reorganize the Zionist Organization. The resignation of the execu-
tive has aroused a great deal of interest. A feeling of uspense prevails in

the excuse that when she was on her way to the general's house she met
two Jewish students who hynotized her and commanded her to commit the
theft. The judge refusing such an explanation, sentenced her to jail, fol-
lowing which her husband was dismissed from hie position in the Hungarian
army. Lieutenant Millesz committed suicide.
