Your Gas Is
Always Ready

Turn it on —there is the flame
ready to do your heating. And it's
there any time of the day or night.

To keep this constant supply for
you, the Gas Company maintains
first of all, a supply of gas in the
immense holders which you see
about the city and also has con-
siderable extra equipment which
is used to meet all heavy demands
for gas and all e mergencies.
The heaviest use of gas comes in
the morning and between five and
seven in the evening. Then the
demand drops to almost nothing
at midnight.
We know at all times just how
much gas is being used. When the
demand increases, a dditional gas
machines are put into action. Gas
is disbursed from the various sta-
tions of the company into terri-
tories as it is needed. This extra
equipment means a tremendous
investment but it also means that
your gas is always ready to serve

you.
