The sudden death of Dr. Moses A.
Fechheimer occurred early last Tues.
day morning at the Phoenix Club, as
the result of an attack of her rt fail-
ure. Dr. Fechheimer, who was a
prominent physician of the city, was
born in Detroit in 1875 and received
his medical degree front the Detroit
College of Medicine. Following an
interneship at St. Mary's Hospital he
studied abroad. Upon his return to
Detroit he began the practice of his
profession which continued until his
death. Ile resided with his two sis-
ters, the Misses Maud and Reeba
Fechheimer, at 26 Monterey avenue.
Dr. Fechheimer was a member of
the Phoenix Club, the Wayne County
Medical Society and the American
Medical Association. he was active
in many charitable organizations. He
possessed a pleasing and genial per-
sonality and enjoyed the friendship
of a wide circle.
The funeral took place from his
late residence Thursday afternoon at
2 o'clock, Rabbis Leo M. Franklin and
Henry J. Berkowitz officiating. Burial
was in Woodmere Cemtery.
Dr. Fechheimer is survived by his
sisters, the Misses Maud and Reeba
Fechheimer; two brothers, Dr. Karl
Si. and Sidney M. Fechheimer. An-
other brother, Henry M. Feehimer,
died more than a year ago.

The Jewish Technical High School of Vilna, the only one of its kind in
Poland, has been forced to cut its activities in half as a result of the financial
crisis of the Orb, which has been supporting the institution. With the with-
drawal of Ort aid, the school tried to support itself, but since must of the
students must earn their own living, it was found that increasing the tuition
fees was impossible. Although local Jews have contributed, the only hope

dad. According to the law in Mesopotamia, a bequest becomes "wakuf,",
which makes it impossible for the owner to dispose of the property or to
alter his will. The revenue of Mr. Shemtov's estate, which amounts to ,
£12,000 yearly, will be spent by the Keren Ilayesod in Palestine. In addi-
tion to this bequest, Mr. Shemtov has handed over certain buildings in the
form of mortgages, made out in the name of Dr. Bension, the income to
be spent for the development of spiritual science in the llebrew University
of Jerusalmen.

The Jewish population settled in the colonies of the Ica in the Argentine
numbers 5,360 representing 30,725 persons, according to figures
received from the headquarters of the Jewish Colonization Association.
