on Wetinesdays, although another
feature of their work is the annual
"sheet day." when sheets for the hos-
pitals in Palestne are collected and
sent there by Mrs. Weinstein. In a
letter sent to the Detroit chapter by
Dr. Simon Tannenbaum, director of
the hospitals in Jerusalem, he said:
"Sheets are always needed and are
welcome to us because we are able
to supply the demands made upon us
by our hospitals and kindred institu-
tions to whom we supply linens, and
they are more welcome to the pa-
tients who are thus enabled to enjoy
the comfort of nice, clean and fre-
quently changed linens while they are
in our hospitals. If it were possible
for you to listen to the sighs of satis-
faction and contentment breathed by
t"e patients as they are changed by
the nurses into these clean linens, you
would feel more than repaid for any
trouble which you may have in col-
lecting and sending these generous
contributions." The dresses, upon
which the members are working at
nresent, are used for the children of
Palestine.
