EXPERIENCE

When the work of decorating has started and results should
be observable—you will find that experience is a mighty impor-
tant factor in the achieving of satisfactory effects, no matter
whether the expenditure be large or small.
For over eighty years Dean's have been exclusively in the
business of interior decorating and furnishing. The lessons
learned during this long experience ; the organization of skilled
craftsmen built up; the connections acquired over this period
of time—all work to the advantage and profit of those employing
Dean's services.
We have earned our reputation of the leading decorators-
furnishers of Detroit—unexcelled, anywhere, in experience,
facilities and ability.

Morris Fishman, vice-president of
the Detroit Life Insurance Company,
who, with his family, returned to the
city after an extended tour through
Europe, was impressed with the fact
that the economic situation in Europe
is such as to call for the earnest co-
operation not only of the European
powers but of the United States. The
contrast between conditions as they
existed in Colonel, Mr. Fishman's na-
tive country, before the war and
those that obtain at the present vis-
bily affected hint.
"Conditions in many parts of Po-
land," Mr. Fishman declared, "are
, very bad. People are actually starv-
ing to death. They do not know what
it means to enjoy a good day. I met
people who, before the war, were
wealthy. Now they beg for a living.
Hundreds of thousands of people
would walk to the United States if
they could."
M r. Fi a hman distributed for per-
Mr.
sons in Detroit and elsewhere thou-
' sands of dollars among their relatives
in Poland. This money and funds
which he gave on his own account
brought happiness to hundreds of
people.
