Joseph II. Ehrlich, treasurer of the
Jewish National Fund Committee of,
Detroit, has forwarded to the New
York office of the fund $407 gathered
on Flower Day, which was observed
in this city June 15. According to re-
ports received from the national head-
quarters, the total collected this year
from all parts of the country exceed-
ed the amount raised on Flower Day
the year before. The money collected
by the Jewish National Fund is de-
voted to the redemption of Palestine
soil and its cultivation and improve-
ment by Jewish settlers. The most
recent development enterprise conduc-
ted under the auspices of the fund is
the building of a suburb near Jeru-
salem in the vicinity of the Bezalel
School of Arts and Crafts. In this
enterprise the fund is receiving the
co-operation of the Palestine Land
Development Company.
