"We have named our organization,"
Mr. Singer continued, "the Albert
Kruger Friends' Camp, in honor of
one of New York's best known chari-
table Jews. We already have a mem-
bership of nearly 200, who are known
in 'charitable circles in our city.
Among them are representatives of
all lines of endeavor. They include
judges, laWyers, doctors, Jewish pub-
lishers, editors and prominent busi-
ness men."
A number of Jewish business men
are expected to co-operate with Mr.
Singer in, pledging funds sufficient to
insure the construction of a club house
which will embrace the features of a
large metropolitan hotel.
Mr. Singer, who is the president of
the Albert Kruger Friends' Camp, is
president of the Home of Old Israel,
president of Mount Carmel and Mount
Lebanon cemeteries, and takes an ac-
tive part in many charitable, institu-
tions in the city.
