PAPER ACCUSES
OF RITUAL MURDER

PRAGUE.—(J. T. A.)—Referring
to a Christmas article by Bernard
Shaw: in the Wiener Morgenzeitung,
Czech, a local newspaper and organ
of the Clerical National Party, de-
clares that the accusation that Jews
murder Christian girls for ritual pur-
poses is nut pure invention. The ar-
ticle attacks Bernard Shaw whom it
styles an "Irish Jew" for having scoff-
ed at the ritual murder tale.
Dr. Singer, president of the Jewish
National Council of Czecho Slovagia,
when his attention was drawn to this
article by the Jewish Telegraphic
Agency, issued a libel writ against the
paper.

a city-wide campaign, when a bond
issue, in 1922, to purchase this mag-

required two-thirds vote. The Se-

tree, and is found only in northern
California. Dr. Coffee's efforts
aroused public opinion so that Oak-
land City Council voted last Monday
to purchase this, the finest group of
redwood trees that any city in the
world possesses.

From out the distant West he came to us
With fearless tread, yet modestly he came,
And stood upon the holy ground of Beth El's shrine
Where chosen ones of God had stood before.
Then prayed he with a fervor strong and deep,
A prayer that trembled on the lips of Truth:
"Would that the niniule of their inspiration
Might sometime fall on nit.," he cried.
God heard and answe red
In II is own great way.
For he, our leader, slowly wove a garment all his own,
That grew within our sight along the years.
A robe resplondent
That shone a nd shimmered with the beauty of his deeds;
That glowed with all the radiance of his love
For God and man;
That gleamed with dawn-like hues of hope
And luminous colorings that high courage lends;
A robe, whose fold on fold gave forth the steadfast flame
Of constant faith,
Until that shining mantle lighted up our path,
Opening the eyes of all to see,
Leading the feet of all to follow,
Tuning the voice of all to praise.
God heard the prayer and answered
In His own great way.
