Narcissus, daisies and carnations
ormed the charming setting for the
ustomary luncheon of the Fresh Air
So ciety, which was an event of Thurs-
d ay, Jan. 3, at the Phoenix Club.
Th is is the one and only function

ion precedes the annual meeting,
which is invariably attended by pat-
rons of the society. Mile Blanche
. Hart, who has been prominently
identified with the society's interests
since its inception, was the honor
guest and vat paid a glowing tribute
for her untiring effort, and zeal in its
behalf. Miss Edith Heavenrich, act-
ing president, gave an interesting re-
port on the work accomplished and
gave intimate glimpses of the suc-
ressful camp season, when 1,200 chil-
dren were given delightful outings.
She reported that the North End
Community Clinic is progressing un-
der the supervision of the society.
Miss Ileavenrich was elected presi-
dent to succeed Mrs. Wolf Kaplan.
Mrs. Oscar Robinson was chosen vice-
president. James Fitzgerald, a social
worker, gave an interesting talk on
the placement of dependent children
in homes and institutions.
