Cut Down Tire Troubles!

Many of the repair jobs_that come to us are
due to inner tubes.
Time and again we point to the defect—tubes
of imperfect fit that are made of indifferent
grade rubber.
The remedy is inner tubes of recognized qual.
ity —Lee government specification grey or
white tubes DeLuxe, in the size you need.
Why not take the proper precautions now?
Drive up for tire inspection. It will cost you
nothing and it may save you dollars.

INDUSTRIAL SAVINGS BANK WILL
OCCUPY TWELVE-STORY BUILDING

Right here in Flint has occurred a
record of banking growth and devel-
opment that can hardly be duplicated
in financial circles. Organized orig-
inally as a financial institution for the
benefit of the workmen and business
houses of the north end of the city,
the Industrial Savings Bank occupied
temporary quarters until its own
home at the corner of Hamilton and
Industrial avenues could be com-
pleted. Three years and a half later
the demands of a rapidly growing
community made larger and more cen-
trally located quarters necessary.
This bank then obtained a location
at the corner of Union and Saginaw
streets in the Flint P. Smith building.
When this new office was opened to
the public it marked the first time in
the history of Flint when one bank
had maintained two offices. The orig-
inal office was kept open and desig-
nated as the Hamilton Avenue Branch.
Other offices have since been estab-
lished. There are now six banking
offices of the Industrial Savings Bank.
The original capital of the bank

J.

was 50,000, but the requirements of
its rapidly growing business made
several increases necessary and at the
present time the Industrial Savings
Bank is one of the few Michigan
banks outside of Detroit, having a cap-
ital of $1,000,000.

The office at the corner of Union
and Saginaw streets which seemed so
spacious at the time it was opened to
the public, has become over-crowded
and too small to handle the business
of the bank. It has become necessary
for the Industrial Savings Bank to
again seek larger quarters. In keep-
ing with the growth of the institu-
iton the bank has an imposing 12-
story sky-scraper nearing completion
at the corner of Second avenue and
North Saginaw street. This new
building will provide one of the finest
banking quarters in the state.
When the bank moves into its new
home, it will continue to operate its
present main office at the corner of
Union and Saginaw streets, which
will be known as the Union street
office.
