addresses and program will be opened
wtih an address by Dr. Lent D. Up-
son, director of the bureau of mu-
nicipal research, who will talk on the
work of his bureau. Dr. Upson is
acknowledged to be a good speaker
and an interesting address is expect-

close at 9 p. m.
Samuel S. Stahl, chairman of the
entertainment committee, is also pre-
paring an interesting schedule-of af-
fairs, in line with the plans for the
new term. The first entertainment
of the season will take place on
Thursday evening, Oct. 18, at the
Shaarey Zedek, in the form of a ban-
quet and entertainionet in honor of
all past presidents of the lodge. Past
Presidents' Night will be made an an-
nual event and all past presidents are
urged to communicate with the secre-
tary of the lodge at Main 7497 im-
mediately. A musical program will
feature the banquet, reservation
cards for which will be mailed out
this week. Past presidents will be
presented with suitable souvenirs as
tokens of appreciation for their work
for Pisgah Lodge.
