Sermon by Rabbi Grossman at

El Moshe Synagogue.

Rabbi Philip Grossman, visiting
rabbi at the El Moshe Synagogue, on
Tuesday morning, the first day of
Rosh Ile-Shanah, delivered • sermon
for which he chose the follow lug text
from Jeremiah 6:16: "Stand ye in

ancient path, where is the way which
is good, and walk therein; and find
rest for your soul."

but becausse our soul demands it."
Rabbi Grossman declared that our
religion calls upon each individual
man to sue his life as it is and to
seek a rule of guidance and thereby
aspire for an ideal which will satisfy
•his soul.
"The moral life of man demands
that he see his life as it is and then
wok for a rule by means of which
he will be able to guide himself," he
siad. "Man must learn to take a
