you Last chosen, there is every chance
that your colony will prove a success.
"I was struck in general, on my
visit to the Emek this tine, by the
rapid changes which this district has
undergone in the year of my absence.
Two years ago there Won in the Emek
only Merchaviah and the beginning of
Balfouria, and it was but seldom that
one nut a Jew in the whole district.
Now we tonic across Jewish settle-
ments in Emek Jesreel nearly every
half hour, and one receives the impres-
sion that the district has become thor-
oughly Jewish."
Dr. Von Vriesland writes as fol-
lows: "I visited the other day Bal-
finale and have seen the splendid
piece of work you have completed over
there. It is really the one outstand-
ing feature to the credit of America
in this country, and there is nothing
but praise in the whole of Palestine
for you personally, any dear Mr. Pass-
man, who have accomplished this his-
toric task of building the colony. The
colony makes an excellent impression.
The houses are now nearly all finished
as well as the water installation. It
is a little Garden of Eden in which
it will he a pleasure to live."

About two year. ago I decided to install an oil heater in our home.
I didn't know much about oil heaters, except that the idea looked
good, and I wanted to get rid of the dirt of coal. So aft. inveati-

and service men had to call continually. At the end of the winter I
had it taken out, for I discovered that although this heats might be
satisfactory for certain purposes, it was not adaptable for us. in •
household boiler.
I still wanted an oil heats, but this time I decided I would call on
different owner., and find out their opinions. I called on about •
dozen people, half of th.m Nokol owner.. In every ca. the Nobel
owners were not only satisfied with their heater, but so enthusiastic
about it that I decided to install Nokol. I did so and the installation
has been very satisfactory. My Nokol doesn't moles or soot, it
requires no attention, and there is no fussing or adjusting to do.
Nowadays when someone asks me what I think of oil heating,
I tell them I think it's wonderful, provided you're sure you've got
the right heater."
Nothing could be stronger evidence of the fact that there is an enormous
difference between the various oil heaters on the market, and that every
oil heater isn't a Nokol. Industrial types of burners do not operate satis-
factorily in home heating boilers—this is the reason no many of them are
being replaced by Nokol.

JERUSALEM.—(J. T. A. Corres-
pondenee)—A conference of Jewish
colonists throughout Palestine was
held at Petach Tikvah on July 17 and
18, 80 delegates being in attendance.
Mrs. Fels and Judge Mack of the Pal-
estine Development Company, wel-
comed the delegates. Judge and Mrs.
Mack had arrived in Palestine on the
day the conference was opened.
Following detailed reports on the
present situation, it was decided to

was elected. The conference sent a
