ADVOCATES JEWISH REPRESENTATION IN LEAGUE OF NATIONS VIENNA.—(J. T. A.)—A sugges- tion that it would be highly desirable for Jews to have a representation as Jews in the League of Nations Union was made here by Sir Willoughby Dickinson, chairman of the minorities commission of the League of Nations. Such a representation would be invaluable in safeguarding the rights of Jewry throughout the world, Sir Willoughby said. The British government, he added, is always seeking its far as possible to uphold the rights of Jew's without discriminations. The minorities com- mission of the league, he said, is well acquainted with the oppressive steps against Jews in various countries and as far as it is in its power will seek to curb them. Lord Walter Rothschild, the prin- cipal speaker, said: The cause we have at heart, the establishment of the Jewish national home, owes much to American Jews who have provided the great proportion of the funds to accomplish the great task handed the Jews under the Balfour Declaration." Emanuel Neumann, secretary of the Keren Ilayesod, in his talk said there was much money in America, but it was not in the hands of the Zionists. The money gathered by the Keren Ilayesod came principally from poor Jews, he said.
