lic committee for relief of pogrom
and war sufferers, is in Detroit for a
brief slay' to organize groups of
landsmanschaften for the purpose of
building children's homes for the or-
phaned Jewish children of Russia.
Among the actviities of the Idges-
com is the shipping of food and
clothing drafts to Russia. For each

beneficiary foodstuff s, including 50
pounds white flour, 20 pounds rice,
10 pounds grits, 10 pounds sugar, 10

In edition, for each 120 pounds de.

foodstuffs for general relief.
Clothing drafts are sent in the
amounts of $20 or $35 and contain
large selections of clothing for men,
women and children. All goods are
purchased in the United States and
sent to the warehouse of the All-Rus-
sian Jweish Public Committee.
The Idgescom accomplishments no

institutions, orphanages and schools,
housing 150,000 children in 1,11011 in-

committee 126 technical schools for
about 6,000 children, about 300 medi-

Water Bug Meets
With Unprecedented Sales.

Johnson

That Detriot motorists endorse the
idea of an outboard motor is very
well demonstrated by the unprece.
dented selas of the Johnson Water
Bug, the "lightest, speediest and most
durable outboard motor in the world,"
according to the advertising of Way-
man, Taylor, Ward & Co., distribu-
tors.
This enterprising company has al-
ready , distributed 200 of those handy
little motors this season in the De-
troit neighborhoOd and orders are
pouring in at a rate that threatens
to exceed the supply. Some idea of
the power of the "Water Bug" may
be gained when it is known that one
owner uses his to propel a 43-foot
launch, when he goes trolling.
iJohnson's Water Bug won first and
second place in seven races in dif-
terent parts of the country July 4.
Governor Groesbeck purchased one
for his own use last week.
