The continued advance in the price of meat has become so serious a

matter that the Warsaw rabbinate is considering steps to meet it. The
rabbis intend to introduce two meatless days a week, by which device they

hope to so reduce the demand for meatasto cause a reduction in its price.

The refusal of the Warsaw Jewish Kehillah to give burial in the Jewish
cemetery of the urn of ashes of the Jewish merchant Kaufman, formerly of
Buffalo, N. Y., who died in Warsaw, was overruled by the government au-

700 girls at the Masonic Temple.
The Detroit girls who participate in
this part of the program will be aug-
mented by a score of talented per-
formers from New York, who have
been working with Mr. Oumansky for
several months.
A unique feature of this year's en-
tertainment will be the aquatic
stunts which will be given by a group
of 50 diving nymphs. This end of
the bill is under the direction of
Harry N. Neppell, aquatic stunt di-
rector of Atlantic City. Mr. Nep-
pell is considered among the best
aquatic directors in the country and
the act to be presented here will not
be dissimilar to those given in the
New York Hippodrome. A number
of stunt divers from other cities will
take part in this section of the pro-
gram, which will also include a large
group of noted Detroit swimmers and
