Animation and vivaciousness char-
acterized the sparkling entertainment
given by the Young Women's Hebrew'
Association of the Jewish Woman's
Club at Temple Beth El the past week
when the dramatic class and Glee
Club furnished an evening's enter-
tainment that was above the average
mediocre presentations of like na-
ture. With Miss Fern Stevenson of
the Department of Recreation direct-
ing the plays, "Sly Lady Dreams,"
"The Conflict" and 'The Wonder-
hat," all participants displayed un-
usual dramatic talent. The Glee Club,
under the supervision of Mrs. A. Jo-
seph Seltzer, gave "The Gypsy
Queen" in an exceedingly charming
manner, and the costuming in this
musical revue elicited much praise.

WOODWARD AT CLIFFORD

From the President's Desk—Talk No. 140.

Memory
Day

Memorial Day, with its wreaths
on the graves and its flowers east
on the water, is but a "memory
day" for those that are gone.

To some it brings a feeling of
pride in the thought of a life's
duty gloriously done—to others,
only bitterness.

Many years from now will come rather different
memory days for you. They will be memory days
of dead years-this year-last year-next year.
Will you feel the pride of accomplishment, or will
it be but the bitterness of failure.

Just which kind it will be you are deciding NOW.
If you are saving money systematically, they are
sure to be happy memory days.
