An affair that stood out as a unique sand delightful function in the spcial world the past week was a stag din- : ner tendered Sidney Schott by 55 of his men friends at the Phoenix Club on Saturday evening last. The party was in the nature of a surprise and complimented Mr. Schott upon his approaching marriage on Feb. 21 to Miss Ruth Rogers, a society bud of Brookline, Mass. The entertainment feature, which was elaborately staged, was in the nature of a musical revue, special singers from local hotels con- tributing to the pleasure of this de- lightful occasion. The table around which the guests were seats was ar- ranged in the shape of a "U" and :profusely adorned with the season's floral decorations. Charles Fleisman l was the chpirman of the entertain- : ment committee. Among those pres- lent were Joseph Folz of Kalamazoo, !Max Redelsheimer, harry Helfman, Fred Butzel, Melville Welt, Joseph I haplin and Bernard Wetsman. Mr. Schott, who is one of the most popu- lar young men in Detroit, was pre- sented with a traveling bag com- pletely outfitted as a token of the esteem in which he is held.
