ANNIVERSARY PARTY

The B'nos Yisroel Sunday evening

the club's existence at an affair held
at the El Moshe Synagogue, Twenty-
ninth street and Michigan avenue.
Sylvia Lesser read the club history
for the past year. May Allen, preal.
dent of the club, read a poem of
' her own about one of the leaders.
Talks were given by P. Slomovitz, I

vitz, Barney Jaroslow and Miss
Dorothy Lahrett, leader of the club.
The affair also took the form of I
a farewell for Miss Bertha Slomo-
vitz, former leader of the club. The
girls presented their former leader
with a beautiful sot of candlesticks.
In responding, Miss Slomovitz ex-
pressed her joy at the progress made
by the club in the past two years and
said that the only reward she expects
for the work she has done is that all
the members grow up to be good
Jewesses, loyal to their people and
their history. Miss Allen presented
her with the gift on behalf of the
club.
The club also bid farewell to Net-
; tie Clasky, one of the members, who
is leaving for Los Angeles. The Sons
; of the White and Blue were guests
at the celebration. Dancing conclud-
ed the program. Refreshments were
served.
