NEW YORK. — (J. C. II.) — The
first Jewish bond issue in history was
announced by Harvey Fisk & Sons,
Inc. It is of the Township of Tel-
Aviv, the Jewish township in Pales-
tine, and is for £75,000, offered at
$460 per £100 and interest, at which
the yield to the investor is about 6!
per cent.
Bernard Rosenblatt, member of the
Zionist executive., who is floating the
Tel-Aviv loan in this country, an-
nounces that the Palestine govern.
ment has given permission for the
investment of trust funds in the Tel-
Aviv township loan end, pursuant to
that, the Order of Sons of Zion, which
has a large sum of money for the or-
ganization of Palestine Insurance
Company, will take up a large block
of Tel-Aviv bonds.
Mr. Rosenblatt also pointed out
that Col. Norman Bentwich, Attor-
ney-General of l'alestine, is co-oper-
ating in the preparation of the defini-
tive bonds, which indicates the im-
portance the Palestine government
attaches to the bond issue from Pal-
estine.
