WINDSOR YOUNG JUDAEA
FORMS LEADERS' COUNCIL
We've 'Been Serving
Since 1887
DRAWING TO A CLOSE—
Tuesday is
the Last Day
At a meeting held Saturday even-
ing, Oct. 21, at the residence of Mil.
Frances Geller, leaders of Windsor
Young Judaean circles organized a
council along the lines of the Detroit
Young Judaea Council. Present at
the meeting were Miss Geller, Miss
Dora Bloom, Miss II. Barnett, Miss
Zalev, Miss King, I. Levin, M. Schutt,
M. Croll and M. Sumner.
Officers elected are: Miss Geller,
supervisor; Mr. Schott, assistant
supervisor; Miss Zulev, secretary;
Miss Barnett, treasurer. Young J
dace circles also decided to affiliate
with the Canadian Young Judaea or-
ganization.
On the threshold of the third year
of its organization, Windsor Young
Judaea prides itself on its accom-
plishments, due particularly to the
co-operation of the Detroit council.
There are now six Young Judaea
circles in Windsor, and a seventh
circle is to be organized in the near
future in Ford City.
At 2 p. m. this Sunday, a mass-
meeting of all Windsor Young Ju-
daeans will be held, plans to be laid
at this meeting for activities for the
year.
The Defenders of the White and
Blue, a Windsor intermediate circle,
with a line weighing about 108
pounds, wishes to arrange for a num-
ber of football and basketball games.
Young Judaea circles are asked to
send in their challenge to Milton
Sumner, Windsor, phone 2004-W,
and arrange for contests.
JUDAEAN DANCE SOCIAL
AND FINANCIAL SUCCESS
As election day draws near the sup-
porters of Senator Townsend become
increasingly more confident of his re-
election by a majority that will leave
no doubt of the thorough apprecia-
tion of the citizenry of Michigan of
the intelligent, impartial and master-
ful manlier in which Senator Town-
send has discharged his duties as Sen-
ator from this commonwealth.
Of a truth it would be little less
than a calamity to permit the
trumped-up cry of "Newberryism" on
the part of Michigan's newspaper au-
tocrat to mar the state's inflpence in
the nation's Congress.
Senator Townsend's great influ-
ence and prestige has been won by
more than 20 years of able, conscien-
tious service. In all these years there
has never been the slightest suspicion
