been. From this valley, then called
"Emek Cenossar," the first fruits
tiled to be sent to the temple in Je-
rusalem. Two thousand years of war
and neglect had made a wilderness
of this beautiful country. Those per-
sons who bought it wanted to prove

Motor car officials who have in-
spected the air cooled D. A. C. pro-
nounce it one of the finest designed
cars that has been produced and al-
ready approximately 100 dealers
throughout the country have signed
contracts for its distribution. It is
the present intention of President
Doughty to manufacture approxi-
mately 10,000 cars the first year.
The remarkable feature of the car
is the design of its V-shaped motor,
which has six cylinders, with a 2 7-8
by 4-inch bore and stroke, with three
cylinders on each side and set at a
30-degree angle. Tests conducted by
the Detroit testing laboratory proved
the car to be all that its makers have
claimed for it and at a speed of 2,600
revolutions per minute it developed
31.2 horsepower. At a speed of 25
miles per hour 27 miles was covered
with one gallon of gasoline, and at
a speed of 35 miles per hour 24 miles
was secured. The D. A. C. has a
wheel base of 115 inches and weighs
1,740 pounds.
Credit fur the designing is given

has been associated with the Minerva,
Imotta-Fraschini and other European
companies.

DENIES REJECTION
OF MINORITY RIGHT

GENOA.—(J. C. B.) —The na-
tional autonomy of Lithuania's mi-
nority groups remains "substantially
untouched," Paemier Galvanowsky
assured Dr. Motzkin of the Commit-
tee of Jewish Delegations, who com-
municated the disappointment of
Jews throughout the world over the
failure of the Lithuanian government
to keep the promises made to Jews
and other minorities. The premier
was emphatic in his denial that any
guarantees had been repudiated, as-
serting that the present dispute is due
to a misunderstanding, of the causes
for which the ministry was entirely
unaware.
The premier admitted that there
might have bene a "change in the
form," which, he said, was relatively
unimportant.
