There are numerous indications that Palestine will he amongst the issue
raised during the British election campaign. The London Sunday Pictori i
protests against the policy of the government to estahlish a Jewish nation :
home in Palestine at the "expense of British taxpayers." The paper clai m
that the coalition is in Jewish hands and prophesies the defeat of all Jewi
candidates as a protest nattiest their "aggressiveness."

At least two government officials are involved in an attmept to foment
disorder by openly preaching violence against Jews. The poster calling on
the Viennese to rid the city of Jews from Eastern Europe has been placarded
on buildings of the principal streets, including several government and
municipal buildings. The poster is signed, among others, by M. Riehl, mem-
ber of the Notional Assembly, and a Circuit Court judge.

Those who have made pledges to the

with existing conditions this is not
the most opportune time to solid
funds, but the need is so great that
we must make any necessary sacri-
fices in order to fulfill our pledge
and this movement issurely worthy
of any sacrifice. The history of Is
reel is one that is exemplified by the
spirit of sacrifice from the earlier
day to the present and surely the
financial sacrifice called for now is
small in comparison with the sacri-

benefit and glory of Israel. Alssl we
need additional pledges. If there are
any in Detroit who have not as yet
sent in their pledges they should do
so now, because now is the time when
they mean the most to us.
"Above all," concluded Mr. Srere,
"let us all do everything in our power
for the re-establishment of Palestine
as a Jewish Homeland, by giving more

we should, to leave no stone unturned
