BLACKSTONE SOCIETY

(tit

On Tuesday evening, Feb. 21, the
Blackstone Law and Debating Society
presented a court scene from "The
Bells" in connection with the Neigh-
borhood Night Gathering at the Ber-
nard Ginsburg 1.ibrary. The large
audience that witnessed the perform-
ance tilled the library auditorium to
capacity, many being turned away.
A characterization of Sir henry
Irving's famous role was rendered by
Emil Ungerleider, speaker of the or-
ganization, who directed the produc-
tion. He was supported by Ilyman
Goldberg, Samuel Brezner and Ab-
raham Tzatzken. Due to the success
which the act met at its initial per-
formance, it is to be presented in
other libraries.
Samuel Levinson, editor of the
Doily Forward, spoke on "The Value
of Readi hg."
A special membership drive is be-
ing launched by the membership corn-
mittee. Young men of 16 and over,
who desire practice in law and de-
bating, are invited to attend. Meet-
ings are held in the Ginsburg library.

Don't Be Misled!

So-called bargain prices on laundry are not as cheap as they
appear. On the average family washing you will find our prices
as low—many times lower—than on the "so-many-pieces-for-a
dollar" plan. Try it and see. The result will surprise you.
