OBITUARY
MOSES HURWITZ
On Monday evening, Jan. 16, the
"Y" team will tackle one of the,
strongest basketball quintets in the
country, the strong Oswegos, at the
Danceland. The Y. M. 11. A. team
has been looking forward towards
this game and bus been keeping in
prime condition. Coach Kavanaugh
has had the boys out for hard prac-
tice all this week and promises the
defeat of the Oswego team.
Through the return of Dave Curtis,
the "V" team has been strengthened
considerably. Dave Curtis has played
with the former Trysquare team and
was considered one of the strongest
forwards in the state.
The Oswego team is composed of
all former college stars, such as the
Kilmurray brothers and Mike Rob-
erts, former Colgate stars, Tuts Mc-
Bride, Mathews, Billy Easyman and
Dowd.
This aggregation made a name for
itself in the middle west and espe-
cially throughout the east. They won
619 out of 645 games played since
their organization in 1905, played and
defeated such teams as the Itayl's,
now known as the Detroiters, Y. M.
0., lust year's champs of the middle
west, and other strong teams in Mich-
igan, Ohio, Illinois and Indiana.
Reserved seats for the genie will
be on sale at Rayl's or at the Y. M.
