PALESTINE LABOR

JERUSALEM.—(J. T. A.) — The
Jewish labor situation has been ag.

the roads have been finished and the
several thousand Chaluzim employed
there are faced with the prospect of
unemployment.

The Jewish colonists are doing
very little to help cope with the situ

Jewish laborers have been replace('

Palestine is making desperate effort,
to avert the threatened unemploy

townships of Tel Aviv, Haifa ant .

to continue the improvement of the
existing roads and the opening up o'
new ones, the Palestine government

Only the success of the Kerer
Ifayesod can solve the difficult situa
tion which has arisen in Palestine out
of the general money shortage.

The stiplation that the large sums contributed by Budapest Jews to the
Town Council for relief for the poor without difference of creed notwith-

not infrequently for anti-Semitic purposes, it is alleged. Out of the 20,.
000,000 kronen donated by Jews during both this and the preceding year,
the Jewish poor received next to nothing, it is charged.

Preparations are being made by noted London lawyers to lodge ar

principal contention against the sentences will be that there was a disagree

thrown by the accused. This is shown by Judge Copeland's statement the.'
it was "solely owing to the fact that both members of this court are no'
