The Parthennon Athletic League,
after a brief lull in its activities, was
reorganized Tuesday by the Misses
Molly Newman and Adeline Cohen
To celebrate the reopening, a party
was held at the home of Miss Helen
Goldstein of Frederick avenue. The
hostesses were the Misses Goldstein
and Marion Caplan.
The club is planning • varied pro-
gram for the coming year. Basket-
ball will be the leading athletic game,
under the captaincy of Miss Caplan,
Miss Fannie Newman to act as sub-
captain.

Ladies Auxiliary of Congregation
B'nai Israel are holding no meetings
during the summer months. Exten-
sion programs for the coming year
are being planned, however. Meet-
ings will be resumed in September.

A pretty wedding was solemnized
at noon Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Eskovitz of
West Grand Boulevard when Mies
Sara Eskovitz and Mr. Charles N.
Agree were united in marriage by
Rabbi Harry Z. Gordon in the pres-
ence of their immediate families. The
bride was gowned in white Pebblette
satin and her veil, coronet fashion,
was trimmed with pearls and orange
blossoms. She carried a shower bou-
quet of roses and lilies-of-the-valley.
Her maid of honor, Miss Fay Esko-
vitz, was dressed in cream lace and
carried an arm bouquet of roses and
orchids. The mothers of the bride
and groom wore black satin and lace
and carried bouquets of pink roses
and valley lilies. Mr. Louis Bass
acted as best man to the groom. A
wedding dinner was served at 1:30
to 50 guests. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Mer-
man of Chicago were out-of-town
guests.

& C. boat for Niagara Falls, from
which point they will tour through
the east, stopping at Atlantic City.
They will be at home after Sept. 1
