WILLYS STARTS REVIVAL

John N. Willys, president of
Willy,-Overland, again drove home
the truth that history not only re-
peats, but can be made to repeat,
when he announced smashing price
cuts in Overland and Willys-Knight
motor cars this week.
Willys' sharp reduction to lower
prices at this time, according to
Willy. - Overland distributors, has
stimulated markets in the low-priced
automobile field just as his startling
price reductions in 1915 opened a
great buying way for Overland can
at that time.
The Willy,-Overland reductions
took effect June 1, bringing the price
of the Overland Model 4 touring, the
most popular model, to the lowest fig-
ure at which it has ever been of-
fered, $695. This is 32 per cent less
than the price of last September and
is a $200 reduction from the price
obtained this spring. Deep reduc-
tions were made in all models, the
Overland coupe being reduced to
$1,000.
Willys-Knight reductions now class
the Willys-Knight car among the very
lowest priced of the fine car group.
The Willys-Knight reduction is $300
on the touring car, bringing it to
$1,895, and the Willys-Knight sedan
is reduced to $2,750.
According/to Willys-Overland dis-
tributors, this courageous and charac-
teristic move on the part of the
Willys-Overland head promises to
have the same effect upon Willy&
Overland trade which a similar cut
had in 1915, and there is evidence
of this fact in a notice that has been
been received that the Willys-Over-
land plant will increase its production
50 per cent in June over the month
of May.
While this reduction is said to rep-
resent a loss on every car sold at
this time, there is little doubt in the
minds of the company's officials that
business will be so stimulated that
savings in quantity production will
moon offset the loss.

OWN YOUR OWN HOME !

As a reason for building in itself has been worn thread-
bare, but high rentals present an argument that anyone
can understand. Don't forget that rents will continue
to increase until more houses are built. The time for
any man to own a home is when he needs it and can
afford it.
