and we were just in
time to secure the late

tablishments; add to that the fact gg
that clothes are scarce and exorbitant a
price ; that th e

then you will have some idea of the
tremendous relief problem here," Dr.
Max Colton, member of Dr. Harry
Plotz's medical relief unit, writes in
a report to the American Jewish Re-
lief Committee, of the town of Wlod-
zimer Wolinsk, population 16,000,
which is headquarters in directing 3
medical work in the surrounding dis- r

of 10 look like those of five. Now
comes a story from Russia that chil-

"This part of Poland has been oc-

to imagine its condition after all this
warfare."
Whether or not the wonderful med-

on under the direction of Dr. Plotz
is continued, depends upon the re-
sponse of American Jewry to the
1921 appeal of the American Jewish
Relief Committee, as $2,000,000 of
thamount to be raised, has been set
aside to carry this monumental work
to completion.
