MRS. GERALD MAY (MISS RUTH
ROSENFIELD.)
One of the most beautiful wed-
clings of the season took place in the
ball room of Hotel Statler on Wed-
nesday evening, April 6, when Miss
Ruth Rosenfield, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Samuel Rosenfield, of Bos-
ton, was united in marriage to Ger-
ald May, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max
May, of this city, in the presence of
immediate relatives and friends.
Rabbi Leo M. Franklin officiated.
The bride, one of Boston's moat
beautiful debutantes, was gowned in
a superb creation of ivory satin, en-
train, in trimmings of pearls and
clutchess lace. The crown of real
lace was an heirloom, having been
worn by the grandmother of the
bride. She carried a bouquet of
white orchids, valley lillies and white
roses. The decorative scheme was
carried out most effectively at the
tables, pink being the predominating
colors, roses, smilax, spring flowers
and snap dragons intertwined with
tulles forming a bower for the bridal
party. Orchestral selections during
the ceremony and dinner lent added
charm to the occasion.
The matron of honor, Mrs. Max
Behrendt (Elsa May), sister of the
groom,' and attendants, the Mimes
Frances Glaser, of Boston, Margaret
Heavenrich and Carolyn Epstein,
looked charming in exquisite modish
costumes of shimmering satin and
tulle, and carried shower bouquets
of pink la France roses.
Mr. Morris Enggass was best man
and Mr. George Rosenfield, of Bos-
ton, brother of the bride, Mr. Arthur
Mansbach, Mr. Milton Alexander and
Mr. Frederick Morris actld as ushers.
Mrs. Rosenfield, mother of the bride,
wore a handsome gown of black se-
quin jade, and Mrs. May, mother of
the groom, was gowned in black
beaded satin.
Miss Edith Mansbach caught the
bridal bouquet. The guests in at-
tendance at the wedding were: Mrs.
Samuel J. Jaffa, of Denver, Colo.,
grandmother of the groom; Mr. and
Mrs. Arthur Zeckendorf, Mr. Arthur
M. Rosenfield and Mr. A. Bronner,
of New York; Miss Frances Glaser,
George and Irving Rosenfield, of Bos-
ton; Mrs. Sol Levy, of Columbus,
Ohio; Mr. L. L. Levy, of Springfield,
Ohio; Mr. Louis Kaichen, of Cinvin-
nati; Mr. L D. Gump, of Johnson
City, Tenn.
Mr. and Mrs. May will be at home
in Hotel Stevenson after they return
from their honeymoon trip at Hotel
Ambassador at Atlantic City.
