Reciprocity Day was fittingly ob-

the Jewish Woman's Club, who en-
tertained as guests the presidents
and officers in the Detroit Federa-
tion of Women's Clubs.
Dr. Richard Burton, professor of
literature in the University of Min-
nesota, a lecturer of note and an au-
thority on the drama, talked on "The
Movies and the Multitude."
Dr. Burton said that the movie has
become one of the large industries
of the day and that it is a modern
disease in spite of its development.
He discussed the subject from every
angle, pointing out extreme views
held by those who say the movie has
a downward trend and by the other
who see only good in them. Also
the individuals who help in elevating
it by accepting local censorship as
a sort of criterion.
Dr. Burton said that the future of
the movies is unilmited, as it is a
simple way of instilling facts and
