The Bank---The Barometer
of Business

When business wants money fur fu-
ture development it goes to the bank
to get it.

Therefore, a bank, to be successful,
muse, through its officers and direc-
tors, be a keen observer nad be able
to foresee not only future conditions
within the bank itself, but of general
business conditions as well.

These men must have had broad experience, with
a good general knowledge fo all kinds and condi-
tions of business.

They must ever keep an eye on the "pulse and
temperature" of business in order to know when
a, loan is a good loan—and when it is not.

The bank is a reliable barometer.
