MARRIAGE IS ANNULLED
NEW YORK—The marriage of
Etta Adler, a Jewish girl. and John
O'Brien, a lawyer of this city., a Cath-
olic, ha, been annulled by Justice
Faber of the supreme court in Long
Island City today. The marriage took
place three years ago, the bride agree-
ing to adopt her husband's religion
after she had obtained suflicient train-
ing to understand its rites and cere-
monies. A son has been since born
to the couple, but Mrs. O'Brien re-
lased to liecome a Catholic, demanded
that their son be circumcised and
finally left her husband last July.. The
court held that there was sufficient
evidence to grant an annulment of the
marriage.
Dr. Eder, who made a special trip to Soviet Russia in order to negotiate
with the Soviet government regarding the questions of Jewish emigration
and the use of Hebrew, has returned to London.
