CLUB ELECTS OFFICERS

Windsor's second Young Judaea
club was organized Sunday, Feb. 6,
at the Windsor Hebrew institute at a
meeting of twenty-five young boys.
The club is to be known as the "De-
fenders of the White and Blue." The
following were elected to office: A.
Zietlin, l'res., 13. Cohen, vice - pres., C.
Cohen, treas., and C. Abramson,
treas. The club was organized by M.
Sumner, who .is its leader.

The North Woodward branch of the
European Jewish Wotnen's Welfare
Organization will give a card-party,
Wednesday afternoon, February 23, at
the home of Mrs. B. Stiller, 5431 Third
avenue. The Society hopes to draw
a record attendance. Admission is
fifty cents.

Prof. David Blondheim, of Johns
Hopkins University and Prof. Edward
Chauncey Baldwin, of the University
of Illinois, have been booked to ad-
dress the Young People's Auxiliary
of the Shaarey Zedek. The dates on

The fifth annual ball given for the
benefit of the Hebrew hospital will
be held at the Majestic Dancing In-
stitute, Woodward at Watson, Sun-
day, Feb. 20. Several hundred tickets
have been sold and it is expected all
previous records for attendance will
be shattered.
Plans for the affair have been going
on several weeks and by a plan of
systematic advertising the needs of
the Hebrew hospital have been
brought to the attention of the He-
braic citizens of Detroit.

from all parts of the country will meet

discuss the condition and future of
Judaism in America. Extensive prep-
arations are being made here to en-

gates to the biennial convention of
