WALKER WHITESIDE IN
"MASTER OF BALLANTRAE"

Walker Whiteside will begin a
week's engagement at the New De-
troit Opera House next Sunday night,
Feb. 13, at which time he will be seen
in the dramatic role of James Durie
in the romantic play "The Master of
Ballentrae." .
This will be the first time that Mr.
Whiteside has impersonated a Scotch-
man in Detroit. Heretofore he has
portrayed such personages as Rabbi
Elkan, in Goldsmith's celebrated play
"The Little Brother." David Quixano
in Israel Zangsvill's powerful preach-
ment, "The Melting Pot;" 'fokeranio,
the Japanese diplomat in "The Ty-
phoon" and Jubilee Drex in the Eng-
lish melodrama of that title.
