Particular attention of the members

of the Men's Temple Club is called

to the fact that on the evening of
Tuesday, November 2nd, election re-
turns will be received over a special
wire to be installed in the remote
The ladies of the household of Tem-
ple Club members are invited to at-
tend. Members of the Temple who
have not yet joined the Temple Club
may do so on that evening by hand-
ing their applications to any of the
officers of the organization. Lunch-
eon will be served during the course
of the evening.

YOUNG PEOPLE'S AFFAIR
FOR TEMPLE BETH EL FOLKS

Members are looking forward to a
most enjoyable evening Sunda Octo-
ber 31st, when the YoungP'eople's
Society of Tempe Beth El will hold,
in conjunction with their second busi-
ness meeting, a "Harvest Musicale and
Dance." With the Temple vestry
rooms decorated with autumn leaves,
corn husks and pumpkins; and songs,
music and refreshments of a season-
able nature, a true harvest atmosphere
will prevail.
An entertainment program of ex-
ceptional merit will be presented, in.
eluding Birdie Michelson in "Songs
of the Hour," Herb Phillip and Dr,
Sol Lowenstein in "A few nioments of
Saxophone Melodies," "The Gassele
in an unusual novelty and other en-
tertainment surprises.
Members who have paid their dues
and have not yet received member-
ship cards will receive them at the
door. Members may pay their dues
at the door if they so desire. No
admission will be charged.
At the business meeting, many is-

In a stimulating address, before the

of effort, needless overhead expenses

CLUB.

Arrangements are being ,made for a
Hallowe'en masquerade party to be
held at the club rooms on Sunday
evening, Oct. 31, 1920.
On Sunday evening, Nov. 14, the
W. P. C. is giving its first dance of
the season at the Statler hotel. As
past affairs have been great successes,
it is evident that the coming affair
will be far more successful than any
other affair given by the organiza-
tion. The following arc in charge of
the dance: Mr. 0. Skolnek (chair-
man), Mr. J. Harris, Mr. M. Berko-
witz, Mr. M. Waterstone, and Mr .
Landsman. Tickets for the dance
can be procured from any of the
members of the society.
On Monday evening, Nov. 1, Mr.
Joseph J. Cummins of the Detroit
Jewish Chronicle will speak before
the organization and on Monday,
Nov. 8, Mr. S. J. Rhodes. ex-chairman
of the B'nai B'rith society, will speak.
All young men over the age of 18
are eligible for membership in this
organization. The club has a private
club room, Well furnished, plenty of
reading matter, and is open for the
use of its members and their friends
every day in the week. The club also
has the use of one of the largest gym-
nasiums in the city, and those that
are interested in athletics are also
well taken care of.
You are cordially invited to attend

which are held on every Monday
evening at the Jewish Institute at 239
East High street at 8 o'clock sharp.

The Detroit Chapter of Hadassah
launched its season with a large and
enthusiastic meeting Tuesday, Oct.
19. at the Shaarey Zedek.
Airs. N. E. Aronstam, president. in
her opening address outlined the ac-
tivities of the coming year. Sewing
classes every Tuesday at the Shaarey
Zedek. under the leadership of Mrs.
Joseph Sanders, •three dances and
other forms of entertainment are in-
cluded in the year'sprogram.

Detroit Zionist District, gave an in-
teresting and instructive talk on "The
