the chamber a bill officially recognizing the Jewish Community of Salonika
as the chief Jewish authority in Greece. The bill confirms all religious,
judicial and educational privileges which the Jews already enjoy in Greece,
and recognizes the Sabbath as a non-working day for the Jews.

Large numbers of Jewish students are leaving Hungary and are seeking
admission into the educational institutions in the neighboring states. Jewish
students find it absolutely impossible to continue their studies in Hungary.
as hardly any of them are admitted into the universities and high schools.
Only ten Jews were provisionally admitted as non-matriculated students in
the Budapest University, but even these had first to satisfy the military
authorities that they were "fit" persons to attend the university courses from
the point of view of the political security of the State.

Mist Jane Manners of New York, better known as Jennie bIamtheinier
of Cincinnati, the well-known dramatic reader, is among the American dele-
gates to the International Woman Suffrage Congress in Geneva, Switzerland,
who sailed for Europe. The moving picture houses of the city have been
showing Miss Manners in the group headed by Mrs. Carrie Chapman Catt.
She is a Cincinnati girl and is the daughter of a former professor of the He-
brew union College. She ha, been living in New York the last few years.

Stoltz (II. U. C., '041, was elected Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregas
lion at Fort Smith, Ark. Rabbi Stoltz is now minister of the Congregation
at Corsicana, Texas, where he has been doing excellent work. He is a native
of Syracuse, N. Y., and a graduate of the State University of New York and
the Chicago University, as well as of the Hebrew Union College.
At a reedit conference of representatives from blizrachi Societies of
France and Alsace, the blizrachi Organization of France came into being.
This step was taken by the French blizraellis;s in order to bind more firmly
together the various Mizrachi groups of the land, and to centralize the ad-
ministration of the organization. At the conference there were present dele-
gates from I'aris, Strasburg, Ilaguenau. and from the various cities of Alsace.

The famous archaeologist, Adolph Reinach, a nephew of Joseph Rcinach,
has left his extensive library to the city of Nimes. Adolph Reinach fell in
the recent war, lighting for France. Before his death lie expressed the wish
that his library, considered to he one of the richest of theological collections
in the world, should not be sold but should be donated to the city of Nimes.

At the twentieth annual meeting of the Ainnini association of the Na-
tional Farm School held at Farm School, Pa., last month, it was announced
that $20,000 had been raised toward a $50,000 fund to be used in 1922 for the
erection of an alumni memorial building to contain a gymnasium, reception
