The first big step taken by the Zionist Organization toward the upbuild-
ing and restoration of Palestine, steles the l'eace Conference granted Great
Britain a mandate over the Holy Land for the express purpose of establish-
ing a Jewish National Homeland there, is the adoption of a plan to organize

The late I. \V, Hellman, the California banker of San Francisco and Los
Angeles, bequeathed $100,100 to be distributed by the executors of his will
among Jewish hospitals, orphan asylums and other Iewish benevolent insti-
