Your Very Neighbors
These folks are your neighbors. They work for the
telephone company. They are regular people, just
like you, your friends and family.
They eat food, wear clothes, live in houses, talk,
laugh, sing, cry, get peevish (and get over it), enjoy

fact they are human and, like you, they sometimes
make a mistake.
These folks are trying hard to give you the best
telephone service in the world. They take pride in
their work and in their company, and in the fact that
theirs is a public service. They know that
because it costs them more to live today than

service. They earn more because

It will be remembered that some months ago a Jew, Mr. Ileiblum, was
arrested at Warsaw on the charge of an attempt on the life of the then
Premier, Sir. Paderewski. She. lieiblum was ill-treated in prison, but eventu-
ally he was released, owing to lack of proofs against hills. 'Ile charge was
however, reduced to one of disturbing the peace by shouting: "Down with
Sir. Paderewski." Although Mr. Heiblum and witnesses denied the new
cliarge, too, he was sentenced to one month's imprisonment.
