Charm Prevails
in our
Mid- Summer Hats
A pretty spring wedding was that
of Miss liessye Steingold, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. AL Steingold, of 148
Farnsworth, and Mr. Joseph Silber-
stein, on of Mr. and Mrs. J. Silber- O
stein, on Sunday, April 18, at the
bride's residence. Rabbi Judah L.
Levitt officiated in the presence of 40
guests. A dinner and reception fol-
lowed. The bride made a youthful
picture in white satin and chantilly 0
lace. Her veil of illusion was formed
Duchess fashion, pearl trimmed. She
carried Bride's roses and lilies-of-the-
valley. Mr. and Mrs. Silberstein left
Sunday for an extended wedding trip
which took them to New York, Flor-
ida and Chicago. After May 23 they
will be at home to their friends at
584 Virginia Park.

Father of 0. S. Grosner
Dies in Washington, D. C.
Isadore Grosner, a prominent citi-
cell of 1Vashington, D. C., father of
Sylvan S. Grosner, of Detroit, died on
Saturday, May 8th.
Nfr. Grosner was engaged in busi-
ness in Washington for over thirty
years and was one of the most prom-
inent members of the Jewish com-
munity of that city. He leaves to sur-
vive hint his widow, three sons, Clar-
ence, Sylvan S., Gerald, and a daugh-
ter, Ruth.
Mr. Sylvan Grosner was at the bed-
side of his father at the time of his
death, having been called home a
week before the sad occurrence. The
sympathy of the entire Jewish com-
munity of Detroit goes out to Mr.
Grosner in the loss of his father.
