A novelty in the journalistic line is "The Palestine NVeekly," being the
English weekly edition of The Hebrew Daily Doar Ilayom, published at

The Jewish community at Tucson, Ariz., is growing rapidly, there now
being about 100 Jewish families there. •They are interested in Judaism and
are doing all they can to make the Jewish community one of which to be
proud. A Reform temple has been built and Rabbi Zielonka, of El Paso,
frequently occupies the pulpit. The Temple was filled to capacity recently
when Rabbi Zielonka delivered a remarkable lecture on "Jesus, the Jew."
Plans are now under way for the erection of an Orthodox synagog. Much
charitable and social work is being done in • this live and growing community.

developed this week that he had taken no one into his confidence. Specula-
tion over the reasons for the mayor's retirement brought forth no other
theory than that the mayor seas retiring simply to devote himself to his pri-
vate interests, which have accumulated during the last few years. \Vhile he
reires as mayor, it is not believed that lie will relinquish his interest in politics

It is easier to pull a loaded wagon that has only
three wheels than it is to run a business without
sufficient income to meet expenses. Each may
struggle along for a time but neither can travel fast
or far, and the strain is sure to be great.
That is the problem now facing your tele-
phone company. Unless it secures rates that
make it possible to purchase necessary ma-
