aside as Masonic Sunday. The
members of Perfection Lodge will
attend Temple Beth El in a body.

The Woman's Auxiliary of Temple
Beth El held one of its most inter-
esting meetings of the season Mon-
day afternoon in the vestry rooms of
the Temple. Following a brief busi-
ness meeting, Rabbi Samuel S.
Mayerberg in a very interesting man-
ner, explained the Passover symbols.
Mr. Isadore Levin, formerly a mem-
ber of the American Expeditionary
Forces, and a representative of fhe
Zionist Organization of America at
the Peace Conference, spoke on "The
Palestine of Today." Mr. Levin re-
lated several of his experiences in
the Holy Land, dwelling on the
beauty of the country and the fer-
tility of the soil. Most marked, the
speaker pointed out, is the rapidity
with which the Jews of Palestine are
rehabilitating themselves, in sharp
contrast with the people of other
war-torn countries of Europe. Mrs.
Lily Lachman Silver preceded the
speaker with a few charming piano
selections.

Helen, of Longfellow avenue, are vis-
iting in McKeesport, Pa.

An interesting event of the season
was the marriage of Miss Hattie Le-
vine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron
Levine, of lilt. Clemens, Mich., to Mr.
Samuel M. Benderoff of this city, on
Sunday, March 7. Rabbi A. M.
Hershman officiated. Mr and Mrs.
Benderoff have left for New York
and Atlantic City and upon returning
will make their home in Detroit.
