STRESS BEAUTY
IN ALL HUDSONS
DESIGNERS SHOW ABILITY
AT ART IN SIX DISTINCT.
WE MODELS EXHIBITED
"The Hudson Super-Six exhibit at
the Show this year consists of a beau-
tifully finished chassis, and six dis-
tinctive body designs. observes Wal-
ter J. Itemb, of the Ilemb-Robinson
Co., Hudson and Essex distributor.
For years the Hudson exhibit has
been one of the centers of interest for
the show crowds because the home of
the Super-Six has long held the repu-
tation of setting the mode.
This year is no exception. The en-
gine is simply a clean block of metal
to which the carburetor is bolted. The
for their fineness of detail and the
luxitry of their appointments.
Another notable feature of these
enclosed bodies is their general util-
ity. Each one fills a transportation
need. The Sedan, for instance, is
constructed to withstand the hardest
service. The front seat extends the
entire width of the body, adding to
the rigidity of construction. The pil-
lars supporting the top are solid. The
doors arc mounted on especially
heavy hinges and swing wide open,
permitting the greatest case in enter-
ing and alighting.
Another Beauty Example.
„
Touring Limousine is another
example of beauty. It is built to fill
the requirements of the owner who
has use of a chauffeur driven auto-
mobile, but in addition sometimes de-
sires a family car which he may with
propriety drive himself. By simply
raising the glass partition from the
back of the front scat, it becomes a
formal, limousine type. When the
glass partition is -lowered, however,
the front and rear compartments are
thrown together, giving the car all the
intimacy of a drawing room. There
is a luggage rack on the top for tour-
ing and an effective heater. Like all
the enclosed Hudson models, there is
a Growl ventilator and visor is pro-
vided in front of the windshield to
protect the eyes of those in the front
compartment from sun.
Both of the open touring models
have been provided with gypsy cur-
tains.

SEVEN JEWISH MEMBERS
Congregations of America
BRESLAU, Germany—In the mili-
tary: court here, which consists of ten
members, no less than seven are
Jews. This fact has served the anti-
Semitic press as an excuse for abus-
ing the Jews anir deploring the mis-
fortune of the German soldiers who
must submit to the decisions of a
Jewish military court. The General
Commander, however, has given out
a statement that he was compelled to
appoint Jews, since owing to the small
salary attached co the position there
were not enough Christian candidates
to fill all the places.

J ERUSALEM.—In the course of a
conversation with the Jewish Educa-
tional Committee regarding the open-
ing of classes for higher education,
Dr. Weizmann said that it was his
intention that such classes should be
opened as quickly as possible, but in
order that their financial basis and
scientific atmosphere might be such
as to attract distinguished Jewish pro-
fessors, it was necessary that at least
a year should be spent in making the
necessary preparations.
ARREST JEWISH RELIEF
WORKER AS BOLSHEVIST
Warsaw—Mr. Tausner, a prominent
Zionist of this city, was recently ar-
rested in Pinsk, where he was super-
intending the distribution of Ameri-
can relief monies. The Poles charged
that Tattsner was carrying on Bol-
shevik propaganda, and gave as evi-
dence the fact that he carried large
amounts of American money on his
person.
A number of Jewish Parliament
deputies prevented Tausner's being
brought before a court martial. They
succeeded in proving the accused man
innocent of the charges brought
against hint, and he was finally freed.
Successful candidates at the polls
in Boston, Mass., were: Senator
Samuel B. Finkel, re-elected front the
Ninth Suffolk Ditrict; Representative
Elliot I). Stone, re-elected from Ward
19; Coleman Silbert, elected Repre-
sentative from Ward 10, and Louis
Orenberg elected Representative front
Ward 5.
