Much interest in social circles is
centered about the dimacr-dance to be
given by the Young People's Society
of Temple Beth El, Monday evening,
December 29, at the Hotel Pontchar-
train, as it marks not only the first
formal party given in Jewish circles
in the past two or three years, but
also the first post-war affair given by
the Young People's Society. No ef-
fort or expense have been spared in
making the evening a highly enjoy-
able one. An excellent banquet
served in the ballroom at 7 o'clock
will be followed by a dance, The
Pontchartrain orchestra, under the di-
rection of Harry Theis, will furnish
the- music. Novel entertainment has
been provided for. The patrons for
the dinner-dance are Rabbi and Mrs.
1.co M. Franklin, Rabbi and Mrs.
Samuel S. Mayerberg, Mr. and Mrs.
Ben Kramer, Mr, and Mrs. Isaac
Goldberg. Mr, and Mrs. E. Atlas, and

T

HE intrinsic value of Diamonds and Pearls is as
great as that of any other article you can buy—and,
due to a demand that is world-wide, it is a value that
is increasing constantly and steadily. But it is far more
than the satisfaction of a good investment that appeals
to the average purchaser of these rare jewels. It is the
certain and definite knowledge that the stones and their
mountings are correct in every detail, and of supreme
excellence, that contributes so greatly to true enjoyment
and pride of ownership. , The sincere and superior
quality of our jewels—plus the knowledge of all that is
proper and best in jewelry—is responsible in great
measure for the confidence reposed in The Gorham
Shop by our clients. Here, now, you will find an
unusual collection of Diamonds—creations of exquisite
beauty and individuality—at prices that are bound to
interest you from the standpoint of good investment.
Too, there is a superb selection of Pearls for your
approval. Whether it be Pearl Necklaces or individual
Pearls, our connection with the leading and foremost
Pearl Importers is such that we are able to offer our
clients a Pearl service that is exceptional and unexcelled.
