Great activity in Continental Mo-
tors featured the past week of trad-
ing on the Detroit Stock ExcIiange.
Persistent rumors regarding a Gen-
eral Motors merger are responsible
for the increased trading. l'ackard
and Ford of Canada have also dis-
played strength. The reduction of
the par value of the former, and the
stock dividends, possibilities of each
have served to male them both very

Oil advanced materially and appears
strong at the higher level.
Among the industrials Wolverine

full point gain. An improved factory

Market sentiment is very optimis-
tic regarding all the leading issues.
The Supreme Court decision relative
to taxability of stock dividends is ex-
pected during the current month, and
should produce great activity among
the high priced issues.
