The Nliehigan Daily of the Univer-
sity of Nlichigan announced in its
recently that harry
Stocker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius
Stocker, of 1200 Junction avenue, this
city, has been elected to Phi Beta
Kappa. This is the national scholas-
tic honorary fraternity founded in
177ti and includes in its membership
some of America's most eminent men
and women. Election to Phi Beta
Kappa is regarded as the highest
honor obtainable in the academic de-
partment of any university. Elections
are made by the faculty. Members
are privileged to wear the golden
key, emblem of the fraternity.
Mr. Stocker is at present a medical
student at the University of Nlichi-
gall and is at the same time com-
pleting his four years of academic
work.
