greatest fraternal and social event,
in the history of the Detroit Jewish

With characteristic generosity the
members of Temple Beth El have an-
swered the appeal of American Is-
rael's only school for the education of
Reform Rabbis—the Hebrew Union
College—in its campaign for a main-
tenance fund that will be adequate
to its growing needs. Subscriptions
ranging from several hundred dol-
lars per annum to a dollar per year
have been received, thus indicating
that Reform Jews, rich and poor
alike, are equally interested in the
great cause fur which the college and
the l'shion of American Hebrew Con-
gregations stand.
While Detroit's full quota has not
yet been fully subscribed, there will
no doubt be an oversubscription be-
fore the end of the campaign. In due
time a full list of the subscribers will
be published in these columns. Sub-
scriptions should be sent to any mem-
ber of the committee or to Rabbi
