STRAWS WHICH SHOW
THE WAY OF
FASHION'S WINDS
B. Siegel Co.'s exposition of the
new spring modes was never as in-
teresting or as extensive. The new
authentic fashions emphasize the
standard of distinguished individual-
ity and exclusive smartness which dis-
criminating patrons appreciate.
A fish-tail slipover wool sweater has
flat breast pockets and patent leather
belt. Round neck sweaters, some
With flat. others with standing cowl
collars. are meeting with much suc-
cess.
Moire silk suits are among the tirs- t
silks being shown. Navy blue is the
most popular suit color this spring.
The soft, unpressed bottom is prom-
inent on suit jackets and wraps from
l'aris.
Suit skirts on some imported mod-
els are shorter in front than back.
Martial-Armand have designed a suit
having side panels falling from hip
yokes on the skirt. Inch band stand-
ing collars and materials used for
vesting are suggestive of the Oriental
influence in suits.
Novel Russian blouse effects with
one sided pockets arc shown in Tri-
colette sports coats having fur collars.
Short velvet coats with white over-
collars of silk Tricolette, white silk
linings and with pockets and belts
bound with broad, black silk braid,
are popular for wear with the new
sports skirts.
Organdies arc in unusually early
demand in the blouse section. A new
material, moire Georgette, is shown.
Among the new favored colors are
orchid league blue and biege. The box
blouse belted in front and hanging
loose behind is one of the latest spring
innovations. Many of the new lin-
gerie blouses are of dotted Swiss
made up with pleated frills.—Adv,
