girls, under the supervision of
Miss NloHie Robinson, was held
a t the Jewish Institute, Wednes-
day, February 26. The program
was as follows: VoCal solo, Vet-
ta Divorkin; "What Camp Fire
Ilan Done for Me," Leah Perge-
mem ; short story, Bessie Smith;
humorous stories, Dora Denten-
stein ; piano solo, Elizabeth Sil-
ver.

Feldman will be glad to leant of
his complete recovery from a re-
cent attack of influenza.

Three hundred prominent Jewish
young women it, the city will be at
the Arena Gardens at 2 p. tn. Sun-
day to greet the Zionists of Detroit
and their friends when the Ba4aat
and ball will open after two months
preparations. 11 . 011 7.000 tickets sold,
it is expected that the Arena will
on the occasion of this Zionist event
witness the largest gathering that
has ever tilled the hall. Preparations
have been made by the committee
fur 10,000 people.
Arrangements fur continual danc-
ing from 2 p. tn. to 12:30 a, in. hale
been made. Shook's Orchestra will
supply the music. In addition a fine
entertainment program has been ar-
ranged to include classical dancing
by Nliss Hilda Lappner; elocution,
Nliss tiolda Rosenthal; Jewish folk
songs, NIrs. .\, Lapin-Cohen; violin
solo, .\ brahain Olkoff, accompanied
by Miss Jeanette Starikoff; toe danc-
ing. Miss Kathleen Pereira, and an-
other violin solo by Miss Sarah Ep-
stein, accompanied by Harry Lifsitz
NlisS Golda Rosenthal is in charge of
the entertainment program.
A final tally of all articles collect-
ed by the committee made at a meet-
ing held Tuesday night at the home
of Mrs. J. IVinentan, in charge of
the miscellaneous booth, showed a
total of 5,000 articles collected so far,
with a continual stream of either con-
tributions front the merchants of this
city. Nlrs. 11'ineman is being as-
sisted by the Misses Edith Epstein
and Bettie Epstein, with an addition-
al sub-committee of eighteen young
women. The fishing pond, which is
in charge ilf the Misses Minnie Gelber
and Lillian (Milberg, will have 17
workers, with Miss Elsie Gelber tak-
ing an activ e part.
Nlrs. Noah E. Aronstam is taking
an active part in the work of all the
sob-committees and is personally re-
sponsible for the success of the Ba-
zaar which is due to her untiring ef-
forts spent in making the Bazaar a
success.

its regular meeting, Sunday after-
noon, at Temple Beth El. The speak-
er will be Nit- . II. P. Breitenbach, for-
merly of the faculty of the University

very enjoyable musical program. The
next Nlimilay meeting of the club will
be held March 17. \I r. Prank Tomp-
kins will continue his series of talks
on the drama.
On :Monday, March 31, there will
be at special meeting, at winch NIL
Paul Honore, the popular artist, will
speak on "Etchings.' He will illus-
trate his talk and there will also be
on exhibition his very tine collection
of art work. \I r. Honore won the
prize in the contest for the hest poster
used in the 11'ar Registration of \\'o-
men last spring.

MRS. SARAH GOLDSMITH.

Mrs. Sarah Goldsmith, who' has
many friends and relatives in this city,
died at her home in Cleveland last
Tuesday. Only two weeks ago Mrs.
Iloldsmith celebrated her eightieth
birthday. Iler long life has been de-
voted to benevolent and charitable
work. She is survived by a daughter.
